Shouldn't we be doing a lot better?

also- thanks for the game thread.
This game does not sound good. Are we really sleep walking this game?

I was hoping we'd be so far ahead that Stone would take most of the 2nd half.

Lamar is trying to run clock, presumably to keep the ball out of our offense's hands.
We are playing uninspired.

Ask Aggie how that can turn out...

IMO this is on the coaches for not having these players ready for battle.

Pretty limited playbook with a couple of key players sitting out. I'm guessing they're saving the playbook for the next 3 games and giving the opponents as little film as possible. Get the win, stay healthy and get ready for Maryland.

We could be the Aggies or ND. At least we’re winning. I’m sure they are looking forward to Maryland.

Agree with eastang and smumba. It’s not ideal but I’m ok with it. We just gotta get through this one healthy and with the majority of the playbook still in our pocket.
Don’t like it but the way I look at it we got the sleep walking virus this week and therefore won’t get it again I guess?? :? …. we get the rashee fumble mordecai pick out of the way. Should come out sharp and humming next week

Not a flashy performance, to be sure, but they only got to about page 2 in the gameplan, and didn't have Siggers or Wheaton. I'm sure they were reminded endlessly not to look ahead to Maryland, but they're human. Would have been really tough to get really ramped up for this one, and for some of them, it was.

As EastStang said, we could be Texas A&M or Texas or Notre Dame.

Also ... hahahahahahahahaha!

Have you ever seen a bigger crowd on the hill in the south end zone? It was packed.

Question asked, question answered: SMU announced on social media that the student turnout was 4,435.
That seems a little generous, but still ... nice turnout.

That is the number of tickets that the students picked up. Interesting to see how many for tcu.

That will be critical. Students need to be out in big numbers in 2 weeks - by kickoff. (Imagine how freaked out Dykes would be to see a full crowd for the coin flip.)

Students need to be LOUD when tcu is on offense.
