So sorry, and saddened to read this. While I didn’t know him personally , I knew of him. He was a year ahead of my oldest sister so I remember him when he was a cheerleader. May he RIP and prayers for his family and friends.

Paul, I'll see you later as we have the common thought.

Trina and twins... you are powerful prayers but you don't always win.

Yes, tears on my face but love in my heart!
Big hugs
George

I wanted to offer my deepest sympathy to Paul Layne's family and friends. I always admired his dedication to your football team. Hard to find fans like him.

I didn’t have the pleasure to know Paul. But I admired his passion for our Mustangs. The passion and commitment he showed to our school was unmatched. And the intensity of that passion and commitment sounds like it is indicative of the full man and that life that he lived on earth, as described by several of you who have posted here.

God has called Paul away from us, in body, for now. But brought him to the best seat in the house for eternity to continue watching the Ponies from above.

Rest In Peace, Paul.

Great idea and absolutely. How about dedicating a seat in the stands with his name on it?

Was Paul by chance the one we called "Stallion" around here for many years, and for many years on Mustang Maniacs before that?

Paul was a wonderful human being and a good friend. It was impossible to catch up with him at football games, because he literally new everyone, and we would constantly get interrupted. But I really enjoyed talking with him about Mustang football and basketball, and our phone conversations rarely ran short of an hour. Really kind soul, and as much as I'll miss him, he is in a better place now. Hopefully his kindness continues to impact and effect us all even after he is gone.
