Player Substitutions

Postby PK » Mon Sep 03, 2001 1:14 pm

I'm not sure what to make of it, but according to Rick Alonzo 48 players saw playing time in the FIRST Quarter. This was not a warm up game ... this one was a conference game and it counts. It seems to me that you want your starters playing together as much as possible to get a rhythm going to build on. How do you do that with that much substituting going on? I'm no coach, so I could be waaaay off base here, but was the team really ready for this game?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
