I'm in agreement with those who view this TCU game as a "must win" in order for SMU's season to be successful. Lose this one and our guys would literally have to win out beating Houston, Cincy & UCF and winning the AAC to make me feel better.

Depth is key in this one, esp on offense. Kerley out is big. He came up huge in FW last year.

Unload the playbook. The battle for DFW is so important on so many levels.

You know that Sonny will unload his playbook just as he did to TCU while still on our sideline

We might be facing back to back losses, yes. And if so, whoop de do: still 0-0 in conference. But I do want this one. And I believe we will win. Should be a good battle.

We all need to keep in mind the following:
- Sonny always held a lot back for the TCU game, and then opened up wrinkles. I'd expect the same against us.
- Sonny schedule a bye before the SMU game for a reason.
- They need this win to further promote the "Big 12 DFW Team" slogan.
- This game IS TCU's super bowl this year, while our super bowl is a conference championship. You aren't going to hear a lot of talk about the game from our side because we don't want to overemphasize it as we have done in the past. The hype is going to be more driven on their end.

I agree this might be the most important game on TCU's schedule this year. They would really look bad after hiring Sonny away from SMU only to lose to SMU's new 1st year HC, assuming they have no chance of competing for the Big XII Championship this year.

Everyone should agree there is WAY more pressure for SunnyD to win this versus Rhett. He was hired for this game and to elevate the team in conf play. I have no idea why expectations in FW are so high with his hiring. Most frog fan friends of mine were pretty disappointed with the hire.

My thoughts exactly. I hate tcu, I wish nothing but failure for Sonny and if we lose, I'll hate it ... and we'll still be 0-0 in the AAC.

We want to win. Sonny has to win. Pressure is all on him.

Let's just tell him it's the final game of the year and it will decide his postseason future. Should improve SMU's chances dramatically.
