Have no idea how they're doing schedules.

No UTSA in 2023 or 24.
No Navy in 2024 or 26.
No Tulsa in 24.
No Rice in 25.
No Tulane in 23 or 26.

ECU three times in four years.

I guess getting UNT and Navy at home next year is about as good as one could hope for trying to fill the stadium.

I can't even think who the third biggest draw is behind those two teams. Eventually, maybe, it's UTSA, but looks like we're starting off by not even playing them the first two years.

Get us out of this conference.

It is disappointing that 35 years after the DP we have descended into this conference. You can blame our fans, or lack thereof, all you want for our attendance woes, but with the exception of UNT very few of us even know many people who graduated from these colleges. There is not a water-cooler talk factor here. Of course in the pre-covid world I guess we don't have watercoolers.

I'm not crazy about divisions, but in this case, wouldn't it make more sense for SMU, Tulane, Rice, UNT, UTSA, and Tulsa to all be playing each other every year? This solution is indicative of really bad management at the conference HQ level and (of course) at our own AD level IMO, making a really bad situation even worse. Good grief.

To bolster attendance, will have to promote OOC games heavier than normal.

2023 LTU doesn't carry much weight.
2024 (and maybe 2026) TCU
2025 & 2026 Home games are decent in 2025, but currently SMU doesn't have any OOC games scheduled. Can a P5 (or two) be added?

I certainly wasn’t crazy about the changes to our conference. And this really brings it home.

It’s definitely a step back. And feels like several steps back.

I was hopeful we could have run the table this year before these changes to prove ourselves worthy to another conference. I worry that even winning the conference, even if regularly, going forward will be heavily qualified by others and not taken seriously.

Only real way to prove ourselves going forward is through out of conference games.

This conference is by far the lowest we’ve ever sunk - in the history of this school. Short of a P5 invitation, I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to maintain interest in the program going forward. No. Just no.

You don't know or have forgotten how tcu won the MWC championship a few times to gain top 20
creditability a few times.

We need to win the AAC a couple of times, and make the expanded playoff :!:

Guys hate to be bearer of bad news but you are getting Cusa attendance levels. I'll probably guess the best is NTCC will be 23k but everything else will be 15-18k.
