Big spot for SMU

National stage

A lot to play for

Perhaps one of worst overall efforts I have seen since death penalty.

This team was not ready - period.

No fire, no physicality, desire to compete….zero focus.

I am sick about another blown opportunity.

You play like you practice. We go half of half [deleted] in tutus and pink panties at practice because we don't want to hurt anyone, especially the shoulders of our DBs and LBs who can only throw a shoulder in an attempt to tackle. The most pathetic excuse for effort I have seen in a long time. Utterly disgusting.

So the players who dropped passes and missed tackles get a free pass?
Plenty of blame to go around.

lol, you haven’t been around here lately have you

Recent National Stage Curb Stomp games that came to my mind

vs #5 Cincy, trailing 0-48 (4q)
Boca Bowl vs FAU, trailing 21-52 (4q)
Frisco Bowl vs LA Tech 10-51 (final)

That’s SMU 31 - Opponents 151

Also Navy, a high-profile opponent, embarrassed us repeatedly over the past few years

RL is obviously over his head in a HC job.

I want people to remember losing to NTCC in 2018 with SD and how many called for his firing including myself then 2019 happened. Every coach gets at least 1 year even the psychopathic P5 teams do (see UT).

SMU has beaten Navy three straight and four out of the last five. http://www.winsipedia.com/games/smu/vs/navy

This is his first year as a head coach. He's been an offensive side of the ball guy. Clearly, Fritz out-coached him this week. Tulane was prepared for everything we threw at them. Our defensive players were not prepared at all or just weren't good enough. They had Mordecai's number. They seemed to know what he was going to do before he did it. They hid coverages and he fell into the trap. Great game plan for Tulane and they have great athletes. Coach Lashee will learn and we'll improve. Next year Tulane should be conference favorites with us second. Navy will be improved. ECU will be good. UTSA is good. Memphis and Tulsa are not pushovers. Let's beat Memphis and see what bowl we go to.

ES- so in essence what you are saying is that our O coach did not prepare the players for this game and the D coach did not as well.

Tulane had our number and we did nothing to change our look to confuse them.
