Brandon Crossley Named AAC Defensive Player Of The Week

IRVING, Texas (The American/SMU) – Brandon Crossley was today named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced.

Crossley had the game-ending interception in the end zone in the 34-31 victory over Memphis on Saturday. He added five tackles and a pair of pass breakups in the win.

Rashee Rice was also honored by the conference as a member of the Weekly Honor Roll. Rice set the SMU program record for season receiving yards at 1,355, after posting 147 yards Saturday. He also had his 10th touchdown of the season.

The Mustangs finished the regular season 7-5 and await bowl selection.
