Blind Pig Finds Truffle Award

Postby Topper » Sun Dec 04, 2022 10:45 am

Congratulations to TCU but does anyone believe that they would have gone undefeated in the regular season if Sonny had his way and C. Morris started all season? Max Duggan is the real deal college QB.

Duggan's ability to run has really made a difference for that team, no question about it. Incredibly gutsy effort from him yesterday

It's official - Dykes is the most successful college head coach to have left SMU since Hayden Fry (who left in 1972).

Meyer did a great job in the pros taking NE to SB XX. But no other former SMU HC has done anything of note in college football since leaving SMU until Dykes this year.

Only question that needs to be answered - Will they put the Dykes statue near the Patterson one?

Ha, as much as I dislike michigan I will have to root for them against the froggies. I think this will show how weak the b12 really is. IIRC somebody posted that they should be ranked over Bama. We will see if they can really play with the big boys now.

The line already opened up at 9.5 for Michigan. I don’t like Michigan but I think they’ll win easily by double figures. The Georgia / osu line is 6.5, clearly TCU is not seen as the third best team. The line Georgia / TCu would have been 17 IMO.

According to Sonny, SMU ultimately ponied up with more money offered than TCU. What are the primary factors he left SMU, and how can these be fixed? Are these reasons the same ones why too recruits don’t come to SMU?

They kept TCU third for the matchups, didn’t want Ohio State-Michigan. Reality is now coming to the frauds doorstep, because it will be evident to all that they don’t belong.

Take all of that -9.5 you can get. TCU won't get within 19.5.

I disagree gd...it is Michigan. Michigan never makes the game "easy". They will make it a game, no matter the spread.

He left because for this year at least TCU is in a major conference where they have a chance to beat OU and UT which kept them on the minds of the committee. We play in a soon to be third rate conference which gets no love from the networks because few people show up or tune in to our games.

All the people saying they will get blown out also didn’t expect him to go 12-1, finish the season #3, for Max Duggan to be a Heisman finalist, and for them to go to the playoff. I feel like then losing to KSU was the best thing that could have happened to them and probably lit a fire. Don’t forget Sonny almost led Michigan at the half in like his 3rd game at SMU with Ben Hicks, until he threw the game ending pick 6 29 minutes in.people thought TCU couldn’t compete with Wisconsin too.
