SMU started as a 2 point favorite. With the game being moved to a night kickoff and freezing temperatures forecasted, I wonder if Vegas might factor this in as an advantage for BYU...not to mention the 5,300 foot elevation of Albuquerque.

I assume Jennings is starting. Surprised we are favored. He did great as a freshman, but still has some learning time ahead of him. Good chance to learn and play against a good team.

I thought I read Mordecai and Rice both said they were playing. I hope they can save Jennings' redshirt by not playing him. I expected more money nationally to be on BYU, so change in odds does not surprise me.

Sources: BYU associate head coach Ed Lamb is leaving the program.

That is now two high-ranking assistants leaving Sitake's staff two weeks after the regular season ended.

@ChrisVannini reports Lamb will be the next head coach at Northern Colorado.

That’s not a bad thing for BYU.

Looking forward to this matchup. Fun stuff.

0.1% chance Tanner plays in this game

Both he and Rashee said they plan on playing the bowl game.

Sources: Weber State head coach Jay Hill is leaving to become the defensive coordinator at BYU. A deal has been finalized. Hill went 68-39 over nine years at Weber State, called the defense there and is the all-time wins leader there. He took Weber State to six FCS playoffs. He has already been working with the defense as BYU bowl prep for SMU continues.

This is really a pretty nice forum for our team...Power 5 opponent (BIG12 next season) with a national draw. Network TV (ABC) on a Saturday night.

REALLY hope we have a good showing. Good showing will be great for our program. If we lay an egg - which I don't think will happen, I think our team will make us proud - we'll have wanted the game to have been against a G5 school on the Deuce in the afternoon buried by a ton of other sports TV programming.
