Rashee Rice Selected As Walter Camp Second-Team All-America

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Walter Camp/SMU) -- Wide receiver Rashee Rice adds a second-team selection to the Walter Camp All-America team to his already extensive list of accolades. Twenty-six players were selected to the first team by the 131 Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors. In addition, 26 players were selected to the Second Team.

Rice is a Reese's Senior Bowl Invitee and first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection in 2022, and a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Awards. He was also selected as a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus.

He finished the regular season as the FBS leader in receiving yards (1,355, SMU record) and receiving yards per game (112.9) and was fifth in receptions per game (8.0) and 11th in receiving TDs (10). He currently has a streak of 40 straight games with a reception (4th FBS). Rice posted career highs in receptions (13 vs. Memphis) and yards (193 at Maryland) in 2022, and has three 150+ yard games.

The senior has 10 career 100-yard games, including six in 2022, and has five multi-TD games, three coming this season.

Among the NCAA FBS career active ranks, Rice is in the top 10 for receptions (4th, 233), receiving yards (T4th, 3,111), receptions per game (7th, 5.30), receiving TDs (8th, 25) and receiving yards per game (8th, 70.7).
