I think we showed the Big XII that we could hang with them easily if we were there. We beat Houston, gave TCU a scare and lost to BYU on a two point conversion. Lost to Cincy on a two point conversion. Only UCF pounded us. We have a conference now that we should be in the conversation to win, every year. Tulane, SMU, Memphis, Navy and maybe ECU should be the cream of the conference, unless we go out west to the PAC 12 which I hope will happen. But we have been left at the alter far too many times to get excited about it. We also showed the Big Ten that we could hang with one of their mid level teams (who almost beat their champion) and would have beaten them if Lavine had played.

Memphis rolled Utah State 38-10 and ECU is going up against a pretty good Coastal Carolina team tonight. I'm pulling for all the teams that are remaining in the AAC to show well

ECU wins easily and for the Big XII haters, Okie State loses to Wisconsin to keep the Big XII winless so far in bowl games

What a contrast...First Responder Bowl at SMU in the Park Cities...Liberty Bowl today in Memphis while City is under a boil order with limited water access / pressure - port-a-potties and Purell stations will be the order of the day at the stadium with many restaurants and bars closed around Memphis due to this crisis. Albuquerque and other venues not looking so bad today. #PoorMemphis

Talked to a few Memphis people at the game yesterday. They all said they wished they had the win back in November, but this was good for them.

One guy did say how much he enjoyed our stadium. Loved that it is on campus. Wished that they could get something similar, but that the Liberty Bowl is getting some upgrades. A good reminder to all of us that we could have it a lot worse.

Duke is good. Really good. Elko is awesome and it will be hard to keep him.

No surprise there.
KU's fast start involved a lot of smoke and mirrors.
