Agree to disagree. SMU had all the momentum, if you do, you don’t go for the win with that play. Mordecai running is the last play I would call.

Agreed (about the play). I just liked the decision to go for it.

Also, how much would we have had in overtime? In addition to the guys who didn't play, it looked like Daniels, Kerley and Levine all got dubbed up late.

You guys realize that Condon was playing hurt because 71, 51, and 52 were out, and we had two backup OL in there, and Ervin, as hard as he was working, was getting toasted, 82 was hurt and playing through it, and we were down to a WR at RB. Going for it was 100% the right decision.

I absolutely agree with going for 2. You have to make a decision at some point to win the game. With a number of players looking like they were hurting, this was as good a time as any. I'm proud of Lashlee for having the guts to do it.

I've been rooting for the Mustangs since 1973, so I've already got a few...

Anybody that thinks “going for the win” tonight was the right thing to do when all we needed was an extra point to go to OT will continue to suffer.
I will no longer choose that option. I’m officially done. Can’t do it anymore.

Agree the decision was questionable but I can't blame him for going for it in that situation. Having said that, if that is the best play we have with the game on the line, then we have no business doing anything but kicking and taking our chances in OT. As soon as that play developed it was painfully obvious it had zero chance, and TM looked like the proverbial "deer in headlights" running down there.

But all-in-all a good trip...maybe one of these years we will win one again. My wife and I were talking about how we used to head out to Texas Stadium and we just expected SMU to find a way to win....Pony Express, Bobby Leach miracle, maybe a big Wes Hopkins interception....but you just expected to win. Not so anymore, especially if it is a significant game.
