I assume North Texas State will be tough (SMU seems to be the team they love to hate), as will Memphis (if you're breathing and can play, you get in). I'd be lying if I said I know anything at this point about UAB or Charlotte.

SMU plays horribly in Houston so I agree that Rice will not be an easy game, but we should take care of business there this time.

Just wait until 247 updates their composite roster rankings, and it is going to be pretty clear how much a favorite we will be to win conference.

Most if not all of our players were in elemtary school the last time we played Rice in Houston. I'm not sure that some of those terrible games we played there under PB or MC have much resonance with next year's squad.

Even when we were pretty high up in the SWC, Rice was never an easy game.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I estimate we’ll be up around 36th in the nation in terms of composite rating of our overall recruiting class (HS recruits and transfers).

Still, we trail 7-17 since the DP. We better bring our A game or our bad showings will continue.

Turns out I estimated fairly closely…247 just updated rankings and ‘overall’ (HS recruits + transfers) we’re 37th.

That’s a lucky number.

Indeed.

I’d love Stallion’s perspective on this class. You gotta think he’d be fairly pleased.

That's great. I am referring to composite roster as a whole, which in the past wasn't updated until the summer. I suspect our composite roster will move up to the upper 40s from where we are today, which will be well ahead of everyone else in conference.

Ah, right. That will be a good comprehensive measure of the total roster talent. JB, as part of that update, do they measure every player’s current value (e.g., what the Rashee Rices of the world real value are in year 3 vs what it was as a recruit)? Or is it the aggregate of the recruiting values of all the players on the roster?

Can someone post a link to the composite rankings?

The link above is for the overall recruiting rankings that I was referencing (inclusive of HS recruits and transfers).

I think what Jason is referencing is the overall talent level of the entire team and how that stacks up within the conference. That is found through the link below. And note that Jason said this ranking is updated later in the year.
