Good for him. Hope he earns playing time and enjoys the great white north. So many others still looking for a new school.

Exactly. A lot of players go into the portal, only to find out there are fewer scholarships out there than there are players looking for them. Makes you wonder if the point will come that the number of players in the portal goes down one day. I kind of doubt it.

Most guys who leave because of roster upgrades could struggle to find a home unless they are willing to consider playing at lesser programs or at the FCS level. Most are going to be better than H.S. players a lot of FCS programs might be able to recruit, so it's the guys coming out of H.S. who are "marginal talents" hoping to play D-I ball who are really getting hurt by a lot of these transfers
