have seen all qb's from Walker, Benners etc up to todays qbs. hard to say which is better because of different situations. i.e. competition- Benners played against teams like Ohio St., ND etc. todays qb don't have that level of competition so comparing all of them is difficult.

It was LG Dupre a running back out of Baylor. Had to google that squad.

I guess you didn't get LG's autograph because he was a Baylor guy. In that same time frame or a few years earlier, the Dallas Texans were winning the AFL Championship and I got autographs from QB Cotton Davidson and RB/Flanker Abner Haynes at an event held at Walnut Hill Methodist Church. Fond memories of our youth!

I know I didn't have time for this when I was in my 30's and busy working to support a family (of course Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet). I got hooked about the time I turned 50 and now in retirement there's time for helping with the grands, golfing when I can and following SMU sports

I’m 56 and my first memories of the Cowboys include Staubach, Pugh, Neeley, Lee Roy Jordan, Nye,
Garrison. And good old Craig Morton losing the starting QB battle. Man, those Landry teams were fun.

I moved to KC very shortly after the Texans became the Chiefs. Jerry Mays was a good friend and frat brother. I lived close to him in KC and often ran into him at social events, shopping etc.
