We placed 82nd with 19,000+. Would be next to last in PAC 12 if SDSU joined.

On the other hand, WSU and OSU aren't that far ahead of us.

That’s our attendance as a non P5 and playing Juniper’s School of Hair.

Great Point Ponyboy.

SFA, HBU are not going to draw like Cal , Arizona.

It's all going to work out.
THEM, the Mustang Milita will advance.

The 5 year average looks bad, but the trend is up. 2022 we were at 24,975, definitely helped by a better team, and the TCU game. More name brands on the schedule will help draw our alums back, hopefully more students as well, and you would have to think some of the local sports fans might come out to see SMU play some PAC teams. The most important factor is competitiveness and consistent winning. Keep improving the recruiting efforts. Having P5 status should definitely help high school recruiting. And maybe there are a few studs out there nationally that catch one of our games on Apple or Amazon that want to come to Dallas.

With the home schedule for next year, its all on us. We're not going to have any help from visiting fans - maybe a bit by North Texas - I forgot they are still on the schedule, but its a Friday game. Otherwise, its bad.

By then, we’ll already be in the P5 or not. Doesn’t matter what we do next year.

I imagine our attendance challenge in the Pac might revolve around us being the only team in the Central time zone. We will probably have A LOT of 11am kick-offs.

If SMU's worthiness is based on attendance we are doomed and should be happy to be a member of the AAC. I do not see PAC membership as something that will do much to increase attendance figures. Winning championships and competing at a Top 25 level is the only thing SMU and Dallas area football/basketball fans are going to respond to. Just go back to Moody in the Larry Brown era. Ford could be the same if SMU football was as successful as Brown's teams were.

This data interesting. What is see as a data analytics guru is mere percentage points between most. I’m gonna throw the data into a fancy graphing tool. Humans struggle with numbers more than pretty graphs. Great find

We would have more games in the 3 to 5 pm range to start the PAC 12 day of programing. Pace 12 does not get up until 1 Central time.
Relax and pray.

I would think they would use SMU for the 11:00 central time start for the national audience and to provide them programming from noon eastern until thew late night game ends in the pacific time zone. That is the whole point of us adding the central time zone, to cover the whole day. I think if it happens we have a LOT of 11:00 kicks offs. Would expose the PAC-12 to an audience on the east coast that has not seen them unless they stay up late.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the PAC decides to expand and add SMU and SDSU. But selfishly I am concerned that I won't be able to watch as many SMU football games on TV as I have been accustomed to watch. I know we deserve to move up, being better than many current P5 members. And the money would be great for our program.
