It won't affect us as much as you might think, IF we win.

Meanwhile we are stranded in a cess-pool conference. SMU- always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

That "cess-pool" conference as you call it watched it's football champion destroy us and go on to beat USC last year. Meanwhile, incoming member FAU somehow managed to play in the Final Four last year...while SMU hasn't yet sniffed a football conference championship in the AAC and is hoping to rebuild a competitive basketball team. Let's just keep blaming our conference affiliation for SMU's lack of success on the field & court instead of working hard to prove we can consistently compete at a Top 25 level again someday

CP- and is hoping to rebuild a competitive basketball team.

Once upon a time we had a top bball program. Our admin. decided to run the coach off so it could drop back down to mediocrity and less.

We just have to win all of our games in this conference in football and do well out of conference. If we do, we'll be fine. Our only question will be whether an MWC team beats us out for the Playoffs. But we need to win and win consistently every year.

If the AAC loses out to to MW on getting Oregon State, Cal, Stanford, and Washington State that’s very very very embarrassing.

Those 4 will likely add schools under the PAC banner no matter how depleted it is, not the other way around.

Agree - maybe consider picking up SDSU and one other as well.

The remaining pac will be doing the inviting. Not the other way around.

They have no power. They're going to invite MWC teams with a $30million buyout to a Pac-12 contract that's going to be 9million?

Chicken and egg time. Which comes first, the PAC leftovers getting a TV contract then attracting new schools, or the PAC leftovers attracting new schools then getting a TV contract?

It will all depend on what the networks offer. They will manipulate the conference invitations based on their willingness to pay for either an enhanced or depleted conference.

I'm anxious to see how many programs the Big 12 will absorb. If what I read is accurate they can add any P5 refugee for a full media share?

Guys, PAC is DEAD. If anything it’ll end up as Wash St and Oregon St only.
