Latest on Kerley and Stone (or anyone else injured at Rice)? Is anyone returning from injury to play vs. UNT?

Kerley has a torn ACL....his SMU career is over. Stone still in protocol.

Wow, that really sucks. I tended to think of Kerley as a "young" guy, forgetting that he was at one of the Arizona schools before transferring in to SMU.

As I read the NCAA Concussion Protocols playrs with diagnosed concussion must undergo a 5 step progression with each step taking at least 24 hours. I don't think that anyone has said for sure that Preston suffered a concussion but Lashlee says he is in protocols. If my math is correct, if he did and if he is medically cleared, he would be able to suit up on Friday night.

HC Rhett Lashlee said tackle P.J. Williams (concussion) is out, with the hope that he'll be ready to go next week.

Lashlee said that guard Logan Parr (back) is OK — no structural damage, but "if I'm an O-lineman, everything hurts at this time of year."

Great news to hear that Preston is ok. We didn't have concussion protocols when I played in HS in the dark ages. I undoubtedly suffered two or three during my brief career and that fact has been my standby excuse for many a boneheaded decision on my part over the years.

UNT brought full band.
With 30 minutes to go it doesn’t look like UNT fan turnout will be massive.

Boulevard was lighter than usual but fan turnout will be solid.

Good. I'm going to be late due to other engagement so I'll find parking at Mockingbird.
