we need to take care of business in n.o. first. lose and it doesn't matter. hope we would refuse an invitation to the frisco toilet bowl. we deserve better than that and have have earner a better option.

I agree 100%. Also, I think "Frisco Bowl" is just a stand-in for "any crappy bowl that does not advance our profile". I don't think we would ACTUALLY accept a Frisco Bowl bid at this point. I think if we win this game, we will be coveted by a lot of good bowls if we don't make the NY6.

Point of parliamentary procedure:

JasonB wrote:No, we won't.

We have a win AT Memphis ...

A small detail, but beating Memphis at their place carries a little extra weight ... or it should, anyway.

This.

Win and SMU has a very good shot at a NY6 bowl. Lose and I think they send us to Boston or Annapolis vs an ACC opponent, although I'd be happy with a trip to Birmingham or Tampa to also face an ACC opponent. The ACC has qualified 11 teams for bowl games this year and they have 13 bowl affiliations

I love the step up and the relationships that come with that... Now SMU needs to step up... Are you helping?

Every little bit helps and Dec 4th is right around the corner, Do what you can to help because now that NIL is part of the game you know our competitors are all stepping up. SMU is fortunate to have so many BMDs who are passionate about athletics but anyone who cares should contribute what they can to the collective and not just sit back and expect our BMDs to go it alone.

I'm more amused about the constant "let's win this first and talk about it." Like you're talking to the team instead of a web board.

It's a discussion of the subject matter. If you wish to wait for the outcome of the game before you discuss future projections, that is your privilege. But spare us the tired 60-70 year old typing "let's win this one first before xyz."

Welp, since I'm smack-dab in the middle of that demographic, I guess I'll have to wait until Saturday evening to offer a thought...

without speculation there would be no chat boards.
with that said let's clobber Tulane and let the chips fall where they may.

By the rules, I think we would deserve a NY6, but honestly, if there were not a rule mandating the highest G5 to a NY6 Bowl then we would have no business being in one. And Tulane would have a tough argument too. And Liberty? ...please...

There are at least 15 teams with our record or worse ranked ahead of us and several with 4 losses. I definitely think we would win the eyeball test over Liberty when we beat Tulane. That being said, tonight is one of the very few times in my lifetime I will ever utter the phrase;

"Go Aggies!".
