Sherrington: Did SMU get robbed by CFP committee? Absolutely

Postby Webmaster » Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:22 pm

"SMU played a tougher schedule than Liberty, which gets the New Year’s six bowl instead. Just the same, sometimes these things have a way of working themselves out. For example, while the Mustangs draw a winnable game against Boston College, Liberty gets a date with Oregon. Ask TCU how long it took before the excitement of making the national title game wore off."

"Rhett Lashlee not only has the top G5 transfer class, it’s one of the best classes in the country, period.”
–– Chris Vannini, The Athletic

How long did it take for the excitement to wear off for TCU? Well, after a quarter and a half it was 24-7.

BUT, at least TCU was able to build on the success of reaching... oh wait, never mind.

Stephen A is so inconsistent that he belongs on the committee.

Why let Michigan in after they lost to an overmatched TCU last year?

Stephen A is so inconsistent that he belongs on the committee.

He is not smart enough to know how inconsistent he is. For him, all positions are about one of two things: either what is best for him and his career and ego, or whatever is the most intense emotion he feels at that moment.
