FSU, Clemson, and Little XII fans want the ACC to collapse but there really isn't anything they can do about it until the GOR expires. SMU has 10 years to prop itself up and set itself up as one of the premiere programs in a power conference. I'm glad we are doing what needs to be done to be competitive. We just can't let up.

Was talking to UVa alum today. They want nothing to do with B1G because it means being reunited with UMD.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Most UVA alums look down on Maryland. Like they do many of their current
ACC bretheren. Dare I say they laugh at our oversized rotunda and non elite
academic status?

More FSU people have gotten. wise, now seeing that ESPON and the SEC would love top trash. FSU, and that the BT has non more concern for FSU than to just plant the BT flag in the southeast. They are coming around to grasping that best for FSU is playing the waiting game. ESPN has seriously angered virtually all the ACC brass asa the individual schools. SO well before 2036, ESPN will need to make the ACC happy or else know that the ACC then would love nothing better than to give ESPN middle fingers while heading to a competitor.

Many more Clemson people have always grasped that there is peril in any move by Clemson. Clemson in the SEC? Just a smaller and more elite non-Flagship school in SC, and the SEC already has the flagship. Miami anywhere else? Just another smallish elite private school in an NFL city.

When FSU entered the ACC, academically it was seen as like Texas Tech. Now, FSU is on the cusp of AAU. Notre Dame and Miami both only got AAU after ACC membership for years. Every person in SMU administration knows all that and plans to achieve similar goals to go right along with sports goals.

Certainly hope SMU achieves AAU status but its going to be difficult. Joining the
ACC was a positive move. Hope we are able to maintain power conference status
as the yeats go by.
