Elijah Roberts... announced via social media that he is coming back to SMU for the 2024 season.
PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Elijah RobertsAnd so, Christmas came early for the good little boys and girls of the PonyNation this year!
#5 should receive loads of national attention in '24. "Rhett Lashlee not only has the top G5 transfer class, it’s one of the best classes in the country, period.”

Re: Elijah RobertsLove to see it. He got the shaft in All-Conf selection.
Re: Elijah RobertsDamn right. To me, he was AAC Defensive Player of the Year ... but being first-team All-AAC was a no-brainer.
Can't wait to see him take it out on the ACC next year.
Re: Elijah RobertsMajor deal, so happy. Anxious to see what our "D" does in Boston.
Re: Elijah RobertsThe podcast,Latekick, with John Pate. About college football. His latest was on schools people are sleeping on next year. SMU is one of the teams he feels is on the edge of being good in a power five conference. He is telling younger viewers who may not believe in their potential to look up Pony Excess 30 for 30. He claims that will show the potential they have to become a power in big time football. He claims you have to be over 55 to understand what the Ponies can do on a national stage when the powers that be are committed. I believe many of the old gang was committed or at least indicted
Re: Elijah RobertsTerrific! I would prefer to have him back over anybody in the portal. Hopefully he will inspire others to stay who might have eligibility left.
Re: Elijah Roberts
Agree. Second team all conference was a joke.
Re: Elijah RobertsThis is really great news. There are other Dallas area guys in the portal that I would love to see "come home" and finish out their college careers at SMU. Keep building a strong P5 roster and let's get this program back to where it once was. Pony up!
