Six Mustangs Earn All-AAC Honors By PFF

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU football had six student-athletes selected to the Pro Football Focus (PFF) All-AAC team on Monday.

The six selections were the most by any team in the conference. The PFF team is voted on by 13 PFF analysts and data collectors.

On offense, Marcus Bryant, Logan Parr, and Preston Stone were selected. Elijah Roberts, Ahmad Walker and Isaiah Nwokobia made the team on defense.

The linemen duo of Bryant and Parr for SMU have been dominant this year, helping lead an explosive offense that ranks in the top 15 in the country in scoring (sixth), sacks allowed (13th) and total offense (14th).

Stone has had a breakout season in 2023, throwing for career highs in yards (3,197) and touchdowns (28). Stone's 90.9 passing grade this season by PFF led all AAC quarterbacks. He also ranked first in big-time throws (30) and fourth in passer rating (110.0).

The Dallas native was a three-time AAC Offensive Player of the Week selection this year.

Roberts exploded on to the scene in his first season with the Mustangs, recording a career-high 10.0 sacks. The Miami native earned All-America First Team honors earlier this week by the Action Network.

Nwokobia took his game to another level this year, finishing tied for the lead in interceptions in the AAC with four. The sophomore's elite playmaking helped power a swarming SMU secondary that limited teams to 188.4 passing yards per game, best in the conference.

Walker provided a spark in the middle, recording 59 tackles on a defense that held teams to 17.4 points per game, 12th in the NCAA.
