That's exactly what I texted my friends. That was an embarrassing performance. We are going to get roasted nationally and on twitter and have to take it. We'll be lucky to win 3-5 games this coming season.

Do not understand the negatively. We handled ourselves quite well against an ACC team. We've only had a couple of years of solid recruiting with the NIL so we should thank God we were at least competitive after all the years of administration mismanagement. It's going to take us a good 3 to 5 years to start winning consistently n this league.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

I was at the Armed Forces bowl game and it seemed to me that winning was the last thing on JJ’s mind.

They are just venting with "sky is falling" because they are angry.
They will be fine come next summer when many will think we are great again!

We lost to a lower tier ACC team that was 3-5 in league play and that lost to a MAC team in non-conference play. That loss really makes our conference championship look like a non-accomplishment. Other than Memphis and Tulane we didn't beat anyone with a pulse.

The CFP committee penciled us in for that game. Sadly they were right.

SMU blew the opportunity. Team was not prepared. Be thankful for what? being dominated
by a lower rung ACC team? We played a 10-2 Oklahoma squad close for three quarters in
Norman. Ran the rest of the AAC into the ground and this is the result? No moral victories
here. SMU stunk it up. There was no talent mismatch. If the coaching staff thinks they
did a good job then they should find another profession. Maybe they forgot that winning
games is the best tool we have recruiting wise. Hope this debacle is humbling for those
players returning. Very sad for those that are leaving the program on a sour note as they
were let down by poor leadership on this miserable day. Yes, I do miss June. Those teams,
excepting the aforementioned Military Bowl, kicked [deleted] in some of those games against
better competition than the BC squad we faced this morning.

JJ did give us two very enjoyable bowl games in Hawaii. But that performance in the AF Bowl was really bad, made worse by uniforms, Liberty & justice and all the other silly things June brought from the islands. JJ gave me two of my lowest SMU memories in the modern era. AF Bowl and the loss in Denton.

That loss in Denton was brutal. However, despite his transgressions, still credit
JJ for much good. Not a popular opinion to have on this board.

A great year. Today does not detract from the AAC championship. Grateful
to the coaches and players for winning the title. Cooler now than I was earlier.
It was a season to remember that ended negatively but oh wells. I'm confident
we do well next year as our journey back to national relevance continues.

SMU hasn't been in CUSA since early in Obama's second term. But welcome to the boards!
