ACC and Big XII will be second class citizens in the new order of college football but both conferences will remain as strong as any on the hardwood. Unfortunately, we all know football drives the bus

Tough luck SMU. It's not like you guys need the money anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is if you guys go without.

ESPN, Disney, Peacock are 2 billion in losses and counting. They are betting on splitting games to all channels and having you pay extra to watch them.

This whole plan may blow up and the Big 10, SEC contracts get voided due to bankruptcy.

Not everyone can operate like the federal government.

I’m curious about Oregon State and Washington State, do they keep getting their power 5 payout now that we are down to 4 power conferences? Two team conference playing themselves and the mountain west, I wouldn’t think so, but haven’t read anything about it.

From the St. Louis Post Dispatch 16 minutes ago:

REVENUE SHARING

Left undecided was a revenue distribution issue that for now just involves SMU, which is leaving the American Athletic Conference to join the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2024.

So is this still in limbo? I didn't see any news about it other than the mention that the topic was deferred. Obviously it's a negative and huge unknown for SMU the longer that stays out there.

They haven't reconvened yet. Once they set a date then an agenda should emerge and we'll see if we're on it.
If you recall, I forget the eagle eye writer who caught our inclusion last time.

To update my last post, meetings will occur next couple of days. Cross your fingers or pray (my choice) for some good outcomes. And not just for SMU.

I guess that they can just cut the fees on the wealthy schools and make the middle schools pay more. That should take care of it.

Better than nothing. I think plenty wanted to give us zilch but maybe, maybe, they were for once afraid of some nasty pushback. Speculation, of course.

David Miller and the rest of the B.M.Donors are not playing around anymore. Turner and Ricky can stay around but for this business... let the BMD group do the work.
Thank you BMD's
