ACC Coach (Lashlee) Says CFB Is Currently 'Not Sustainable'

Postby Water Pony » Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:03 pm

During the AFCA Convention in Nashville that took place earlier in January, On3's Jesse Simonton interviewed a handful of coaches about the state of college football. Things such as when the transfer portal window should actually be, or even possible contracts for the athletes were discussed.

From my perspective, can you imagine answers to the following question? "How does college conference realignment and the current NIL and Transfer Portal process make college football better?"

If you are an Arizona, Washington, Oregon State, or Washington State fan, can you have confidence for the future of the sport and your team?

Without legislation (good luck with that), it's going to be the wild west for awhile. I think they can tweak the transfer portal, but otherwise, it's going to get ugly, sooner rather than later.

Washington, yes. Arizona, somewhat less so. The last two, not at all.
