And it won't be Syracuse; they did have an opening after Army dropped them but they announced 12 games today. https://cuse.com/news/2024/1/24/2024-cu ... -announced
Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
Will we eventually have to add someone?
Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
If they finalize a deal with Hawaii, they could make that trip and elect NOT to play a 13th game in the regular 2024 season
Re: SMU announces 2024 scheduleI read, going forward, SMU will play Cal the final weekend of every season. As such, we will host a game every other year the Saturday after Thanksgiving (which if fair), and it will always be versus Cal. I like it as that also eliminates the possibility of hosting Clemson/Florida St./Miami that weekend when everyone is gone!
Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
Charleston my sources are saying Hawaii is a no-go C-ya @ Milos!
Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
Cal/Stanford should always be played on rivalry week but we'll see if the ACC messes that one up
Re: SMU announces 2024 scheduleMichigan State needs a game Oct 12, an open date on our schedule.

Re: SMU announces 2024 scheduleThe day the 2024 schedule was official, we got a call from the ticket office to renew...now that's how it's supposed to work. Well done.

Re: SMU announces 2024 schedule
Cal-Stanford play the weekend before Thanksgiving (and presumably that weekend every year). As for the rest of the conference, I don't know if any of the rivalry games have traditional dates.
