Nothing like waking up early, getting a great workout, and then finding out we got a big time #StangGang18 member this morning @SMU_Football

Any word on who this may be?

It's Terrance Newman, Rivals 2* DT from Duncanville.

5'10 and 280. Sounds like a Jerry Ball body type.

I think he was verified at 5-11, 282. Its always hard to gauge these small DT/NG types but mobility is not a problem with Newman as it often is with these guys. Watch play No. 1-might pique your interest to watch the rest.

Watch the left tackle in play No. 1, who purposefully sidesteps Newman, let's him rush untouched, and then runs 5 yards downfield before finally throwing his hands up in confusion........ for a good laugh.

Interesting one of our least publicized recruits OLM Jaylon Thomas from Lubbock Coronado made the 3rd Team Texas Football Super Team-Texas Tech has offered-but that's about it-might be a sleeper who really didn't make the usual camp circuit and got overlooked out in West Texas

National recruiting expert Tom Lemming has Tamerick Williams with a 4.38 Forty-not sure if its accurate-he's a good track sprinter but more in the 10.9 100 range. It'd be pretty cool if he did though-fantastic for a tall kid

blurb from last year from Max Emfinger says Tamerick Williams runs a 4.33-note he's not even their top prospect at RB

Junior RB Tamerik Williams (6-1, 190, 4.33, 38, 4.17) of Angleton, Texas was Incredible in a 35-30 Victory over Victoria East. In this Huge District Game, Williams Rushed for an Unbelievable 368-Yards and Three Touchdowns on only 21 Carries. Williams (#21) could have been listed as a Special Running Back, because on his First Two Touches, he Scored on Touchdown Runs of 92-Yards and 97-Yards. Williams Twitter: @_twilliams21

With that size and speed, sounds like a big time RB. I gotta believe some bigger schools will take a run at him later on. I hope HCCM and staff can hang onto him.

Michael Woods didn't have quite the game he did last week-think he caught about 4 passes for about 80 yards but watch his video anyway-he was abusing DBs with about 10 knockdown blocks. Never seen that before

One of SMU's more unheralded recruits Max Yarborough got invited to the Blue/Gray All-American Game
