Re: SMU Lands OU Defensive LinemanTransfer portal has really lead to a deep and experienced DL that will hopefully allow some of the younger guys to mature before they are thrown into the fire

Re: SMU Lands OU Defensive LinemanI wonder if he'll be a DT for the Stangs or go back to SSDE, which I think he was a 4-star at that position in high school.

Re: SMU Lands OU Defensive LinemanThat sack against Tulane last year is far more impressive than it would sound in previous years.
So does this pick-up push Chatman even further out of the rotation?
Re: SMU Lands OU Defensive LinemanHe did not play last year. Sack was 2021 All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: SMU Lands OU Defensive LinemanHe will have 2 years of eligibility remaining, played for Coach Thibodeaux at OU and as suggested, he might bring more flexibility as a guy who could play inside or out on the DL. Hopefully the improved depth on the DL will allow guys to play fewer snaps and not wear out. We need a really stout DL to free up our LBs as that remains the primary area of concern for next year's D. DL and secondary play should be much improved in '23
