Guys, and I'm very very serious, don't forget about western Michigan. They're killing it. I believe they're around #29 on rivals with 6 3*s already.

Yes but their QB commit has no P5 offers while ours does have multiple. Also these are northern kids...nowhere near the quality of Texas kids. Some of their 3 stars have the same kind of offers as some of our 2 stars.

And for whoever said we should have a few players stars re-evaluated, pay the $10. We have a few guys that will definitely jump to 3 and some to 4 (Moore being one of em).

Wow look into WMU commit list and some of those 3 stars (like their WR) only have 2 offers including WMU.

As much as I LOVE seeing us as high as 44, this kind of reminds me of when the basketball team had the #1 RPI 8 games into LB's first season. Not saying we won't get there eventually, but we will have to come back to reality soon

I know we should pay more attention to the offers rather than stars but the star ratings are not too impressive so far....

Would you take a 3 or 4 star with one offer or a 2 star with 15 FBS and 4 P5 offers?

We may be able to stay around that ranking. some of the bigger targets commit later on and we can still impress people this season.

I'll always take the kid with more impressive offers but usually that will be the kid with more stars.

Agreed, they will usually have more stars. There are still 2 more star reviews before Feb...I think before the season then after if I'm not mistaken. So guys like Moore could get an extra star, and others that may blow up (Shelmire, maybe other sleepers) as well. Stars are for the fans, remember that too, seeing that 20 coaches want my player is always the better indicator.

I'm very impressed with the recruits and recruiting thus far.

I know the ranking is helped by the comparatively large number of recruits, but stars aside, there is a lot to be excited about. They have a combination of P5 offers and multiple G5 offers, so it would be wrong to classify any as DITRs. These are players others want, not players for whom SMU is the FBS safety school. And I'm sure some of the 2s will become threes by NSD.

This is one of the two highest ranked classes I can recall in this Century. We had another class ranked in the 40s, but it feel apart after the unfortunate incident involving the party school in the desert. Don't see that happening with Chad Morris and Co.

We are expecting more by the start of next week. I don't know if any are 3 stars though (maybe). Top 50 class, I'm telling you. (top 3 in G5, top 2 in AAC). And will be the first top 50 (40?) in several methinks. Pony Up!

Just love the enthusiasm! Based on some of the comments it looks like several of the guys will be upgraded. I do wonder though, if half of these guys would have been pulled by June, would everyone still be dishing high praise?
