DT Thomas Derricks is one of the top players in the DFW area, if not the state. The following info comes straight from his HS coach:

<<A big week for Thomas Derricks, a junior defensive tackle from Dallas
Jesuit. Penn State visited Monday afternoon. Al Golden, their new LB
Coach, came to Texas to see three players, including Thomas. Tuesday, Tennessee and Ohio State visited. Ohio State offered Thomas a scholarship last night. This morning, LSU's head coach offered Thomas. His offers include several schools from across the nation: Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Missouri, Colorado, Baylor, Northwestern, Duke, and LSU.

Most coaches say the say things over and over: "most active DT on
film"..."makes more plays than any other DT in the country"...plays with
his motor always on, which is rare for a big man in high school"..."the
only D1 qualifier at his position right now"

Most also come by to see if 1) he's over six feet tall (he is...6' 1), 2)
he weighs 280 (he actually weighs 287 right now), and 3) he is really that
good of a student (3.18 GPA, 950 PSAT, took SAT Prep class and SAT on May
6th). They seem to leave happy. >>

No kidding. This doesn't bode well for the Mustangs. His HS coach says Thomas came to the Red/Blue scrimmage, liked everyone he met, but appears to be aiming toward more of a high-profile national program....

A lot of folks have him ranked among the top 20 players in Texas now. We could really use him - how can we get him?
