Corey Roberts has SMU visit set

Corey Roberts, the 6-4 wide receiver from Carthage, Texas, (Kris Briggs' hometown), has been quoted as saying he has the following four visits set up.

Dec. 1 - Oklahoma State
Dec. 8 - Louisiana Tech
Dec. 15 - SMU
Jan. 12 - Baylor

He lists LSU as his fifth "favorite".

Hope OSU, LaTech and LSU go in the tank and he has a blast at SMU. Baylor of course, is already in the tank....

This would be a nice pick-up to compliment Jay Taylor, who apparently has committed. Having a couple of tall receivers might allow us to return Billy Ford to LB and move Jarian James to strong safety.

Okla St's coach may be a mystery when he visits there, but I worry about the appeal La Tech might have with the younger McCown and their pass oriented offense. Baylor might play big-time competition, but probably has less chance than SMU of turning things around during Roberts' 4 yrs.

Let's hope he likes what he sees when he visits SMU. Too bad there isn't a hoops game that night!
