The Mustangs are recruiting a pair of quarterbacks from the Austin area. One is definitely a name you will be familiar with if you follow recruiting in this state. The other is late bloomer who just finished an outstanding season. Check out Blade Bassler & Eric Hafner:

It's our pleasure. And let me add that I've seen both of them play numerous times this fall. Hafner looks like a very poised passer who can throw the ball from the pocket or rolling out. And Bassler is an outstanding athlete who can run/throw/tackle/do it all. The offense at Rockdale didn't lend itself to Blade throwing the ball that much this fall because they ran the ball so well. But I can assure he has plenty of ability to sling it.

If you could look into your crystal ball, what would you guess the chances are that Bassler will end up in Dallas next fall?

By the way, with the info you provide, are you a Mustang?

I wouldn't consider it likely that Blade will be Big D-bound. But it is a possibility. OU and A&M would seem to have an edge along with his father's alma mater, Houston, who has already offered. But he did tell us that it is going to be a very difficult decision. He's a quality player for whoever is fortunate enough to snatch him.
