I'm guessing this info is wrong

Postby PonyFan » Tue Nov 21, 2000 6:42 pm

rivals.com lists Tyler (John Tyler), Texas cornerback Robert Garmon as being 6-foot-7, 175 and running a 4.4 40.

6-foot-7 ?!?!?!?!?

He's listing SMU along with Texas A&M, Iowa State, Notre Dame and Baylor.

No, he's somewhere in between 5-7 and 6-3. I saw him play on Saturday against Carter. He only carried seven times, but he had some good runs. Seems pretty good, but I can't tell if it's him, the line, the ineptitude of the Carter defense, etc. I don't know if he's what Notre Dame and A&M and those other top notch schools would want, but maybe he is. He played well, though.

Made some good runs? I thought he's a cornerback?

Maybe that's what he's being recruited as, but he plays both ways, and is their primary rusher. He looked pretty good. Tomorrow against Plano will be a better gauge, though.
