Kurt Falke (6-6, 260) of Bellview, Texas, has added SMU to his list of choices. But before anyone says we have the next Forrest Gregg on our hands, keep in mind that he has a long list of schools he's considering, including (among others) Colorado, Northwestern and Stanford.

Hey, he's a big guy and with those other schools that appear to have interest, he might be able to come in here and contribute right away.

6-6 260 is not big, maybe for a TE but not an O-lineman. We need 6-6 290-300+.

Not so sure. If a kid is 6-6 as a HS senior, that means he likely has room to grow more, or at least add the weight needed to play offensive line.

True. The guys who come out of high school at (or near) 300 pounds are signing with teams like Texas and Nebraska. If we can find a kid who's 6-6 and has a big frame, we can help him grow. This could be a diamond in the rough.

I have absolutly no faith in our strength program. Most places you can say that you can make a 6-6 260 guy into a 6-6 290 guy, but not here. Has anyone done this at SMU recently. We need to be recruiting people the size we need them to be, no projects.
