We give credit where it's due. mustangmaniacs is reporting that the Mustangs have "picked up Houston Bellaire quarterback Ashton Nixon, who could play a variety of positions for the Mustangs..... Nixon's brother is currently a player a Tulsa, where Ashton visted last weekend. "

Anybody know anything about this guy? Couldn't find anything about him in the top 135 list. Any stats from this year or last would be appreciated.

Saw Ashton Nixon when he was in town for a game (Tulane game, I think). He looked pretty damn big for a QB/athlete prospect. I thought he looked like a middle linebacker. Any idea what position the coaches have in mind for him?

I don't know anything about the kid. I do know that Belliare, however, has always been a weak football school. Baseball, they're probably one of the two or three best high schools in the nation, but that doesn't help us much. Maybe the kid can help.
