SMU has picked up a commitment from one of the top players in El Paso. “You could say that I committed,” El Paso (Texas) Irvin defensive back Don Stansbury said. “I’m still going to take a few visits, but this is the place I’m most likely going to attend.” The 6-1, 200-pound Stansbury visited SMU this past weekend and excited about the things that he witnessed. “The visit went great,” Stansbury said. “I really like the academic programs and I liked the facilities.” Stansbury, who is the younger brother of UCLA linebacker Ed Stansbury, is the Mustangs third verbal commitment.

It bothers me that he still plans to take his other visits, just like Bartel is planning to do.

But if he's anywhere near as talented as his brother at UCLA, Stansbury is going to be a stud. And it's nice to see a bigger DB heading into town!
