One of the top running back prospects in the Lone Star State this year is Port Arthur (Texas) Lincoln's Shanderric Charles. Last season the 5-9, 180-pound Charles rushed for more than 1,650 yards and scored 10 touchdowns while earning honorable mention all-state honors. "North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Wake Forest, SMU, and LSU all called," Charles said. "There were a couple of others too." When asked if he had received any offers yet, he replied, "All of the ones who called me on the phone offered. I have about 12 offers." Charles mentioned that he is looking for a school that has a good law school and a good environment. "My favorites are Penn State, North Carolina, Miami, Arizona and Arizona State," Charles said. "It doesn't matter if I stay in state or go out of state. I'm just looking for the right school."
