Good call, BUS! But it may be hard to land that many, because every coach in America wants a bunch of linemen with that kind of size. I'll settle for five or six, if they can play.

Good point PonyGirl but the chances of getting 5-6 linemen and all of them being able to play is slim to none. We are playing a numbers game right now because we do not have the reputation it takes to bring in a bunch of big guys and many of them being productive in their career. SMU needs to bring in 10-12 or and at least roughly half should be able to contibute during their time here. 5-6 of these boys won't get the net numbers we need.

that is the exact reason we 10 to 12. Some get hurt and others just do not have the heart or skills two or three years down the line.

Getting a great back is not easy but the good ones look great when the o-line is good!!!

Guys & Gals, does it seem that we have been 'snakebit' at the O Line level. We have had a number of players who have had career ending injuries over the past 2-3 years that I can remember. Not forgetting the 5th year guys, but some Freshmen who have never come back after an injury. Let me know your thoughts about what we could do, outside of having more bodies (which is difficult to do). Is it possible that not redshirting these guys is a part of it??
