Rockdale (Texas) QB Blade Bassler (6-4, 220) has given a verbal commitment to play for the University of Houston.
Remember, verbal commitments are non-binding. The first day a player can sign a national letter-of-intent is Feb. 7. There's still time to change his mind.

Trust us, he is very unlikely to change his mind. Houston has always been his likely destination but he gave several other schools including SMU close looks.
