Now that the class is official, how do you rate the recruits? I'll start:
A: excellent
B: Above average
C: average
D: Below Average
F: horrible
Bartel: Got a lot of state wide awards, and was recruited by purdue.
Grade: B
ShanDerrick: Listed highly by some people, but not recruited by name institution.
Grade: C+
Scott Dale: All state for prep, no name institutions recruited him.
Grade: D
Russ Davis: all-state, had wisconsin looking at him, good stats
Grade: B+
Dineen: Comes from good program, not a lot of recognition, but looks from ND, South Carolina.
Grade: B-
Griffin: top 15 athelete in texas and on some 100 lists, nobody big went after him though. Small but really fast.
Grade: C+
Hunt: has good relatives and is fast. Thats about it.
Grade: D
James: looked at by some decent schools, not much else.
Grade: C
Kieschnick: top 5 center in the state, not looked at by great colleges, but may be more of a student
Grade: B-
McMurtray: all-state, decent states, wisconsin and marshall wanted him.
Grade: B+
Tommy Miller: Texas A&M looked at him. Also listed somewhere as a top DEFENSIVE linemen.
Grade: B or B+
Earl Morris: Tope 10 fullback, top 20 running back. semi-nice schools looked at him.
Grade: B
Ashton Nixon: nobody good looked at him even though he had good stats.
Grade: C-
Hulsey Smith: earned some nice honor even though nobody looked his way.
Grade: C+
Stansbury: all-state and recruited by TCU, some okay schools, rated pretty well
Grade: B
Jay Taylor: rated highly, not recruited by great schools, but maybe due to academics and the fact he committed early.
Grade: B+
Matt Terry: second team all state in florida is good, especially on a team that had so many D-1 recruits. No big schools looked at him though.
Grade: B
Cedric Vinson: Second team all state, nooone looked at him.
Grade: C+
Marcus Walker: second team all state, 73 in Lousiana, arkansas and LSu were after him, great size.
Grade: B+
I would give us a C/C+ average. I think we got a few pretty goodp layers, but noone really sticks out as a great one...
