QB Paul Thompson Update

Olkahoma recruiting guru Hale reports that the Mustangs (along with OU and OSU) have offered Leander QB Paul Thompson. We follow Paul on our Austin Area Prospects site:

We've seen him in person a number of times the past couple of years and he is a very poised kid with obviously terrific athletic ability.

I've seen Paul play. If we can get him into red and blue, it will be a recruiting coups. He has terrific mobility and elusiveness, and a very strong, accurate arm. He needs to be a Pony! When you all see players and coaches, let them know how important this kid can be. He's a player we can build a recruiting class around.

We watched Paul playing 7-on-7 this evening and he looked really sharp. Paul tells us hat he has indeed been offered by not only SMU, but also Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Notre Dame and most recently by Texas. All are looking at him as a quarterback except Texas who like him as a receiver.
