First year coaches allowed to offer early

Remember the big news last October or so.... this is the first year our coaches can go out and offer early. Instead of shopping at the end of season sale or asking a recruit to wait for SMU, our coaches can now go out and offer early and then sell hard to fill out a class.

I see Caven and staff having a good year as the hand cuffs are now off. Still need a couple degree programs that are appealing to the physical minded athlete.

Couldn't agree more. I think our top two priorities should be Kyle Williams, the offensive lineman from Highland Park, and the Blaylock kid (also offensive line) from Plano. To quote the great BUS: "Bring in the Herd!"

I read that the huge DT at Mesquite is not going to stay in Texas... Has he even been to the SMU campus. Just a question of exposure. He could talk us up in his travels and you never know - he may go away for a year and then want to come home!!!
