Coach:
Any update on Corey Ford or Tim Stone, and their interest in SMU?

Both are still very interested in SMU as well as Jimmy Morris who has been listed in two National recruiting list. Max Empfimger's TGIF Top 225 and Rivals 100 Top 250. All three will camp at TCU on Friday and then at SMU on the 28th. To be quite honest if Jimmy Morris doesn't leave both camps with offers it would be very suprising to me.

Who's Jimmy Morris? Does he play at the same HS as Corey and Tim (Skyline, right?) What position, size, weight, speed, stats, etc., can you offer?

Thanks CoachRob

hopefully Coach Rob will update Morris' stats, but I do know he's a teammate of Corey Ford's and both are at Skyline. Would love to see us get some momentum going in the DFW area and get some of these kids to "stay home" and play in front of family and friends. We need to do more to expand the SMU community in DFW and give folks a reason to come out and experience the Boulevard and Gerald Ford Stadium!

Jimmy Morris, 6'0" 200lbs,4.62/40,4.18/pro agility shuttle, bench over 300,vertical jump 30". His stats from last year are: 70 tackles, 5 sacks,6 hurries, 9 tackles for losses, and 2 caused fumbles. Outstanding game came against Dallas Kimball, when he had 20 tackles, two sacks, and a caused fumble. Morris has been rated as one of the top linebackers in the nation by Max Emfinger(TGI Tuesday top 225; link citadelpartners.com) and Jeremy Crabtree(alliancesports.com top 250). Jimmy's top schools are Iowa St.(offered), Texas A&M(very interested), Florida St.(interested),Oklahoma(interested),TCU(extremely interested) and SMU(interested).

CoachRob, we need your help with this guy. Make sure he ends up at home, in red and blue next fall. Do whatever it takes. If he's as good as advertised, I'll go nuts if he ends up in Forth Worth.
