Does this mean we're done? I read somewhere on this board that we're giving 19 'ships this year, and I count 19 on this list. And what about the guy from Port Arthur, Daniel Francis? Is he a Mustang? Does this mean we're going to grey-shirt someone?

Are players on campus this weekend? Or is recruiting season over? Even if it is, I like the looks of this class, and can't wait for next year's.

I've heard the same thing - 19 scholarships.
If that's true, this is our class. Not quite as good as it could have been, but still the best in years.

My guess is that we have 21-22 ships. It would be great to pull some of the big guys back into the fold or get some more. The real need is in the D line. The early signed 'beef' was a real positive sign. Perhaps some of the guys are thinking about sitting for 2-3 years at another school or possibly playing in a year at SMU... Let's keep up the pressure.

Just because Blagg is not playing does not mean that he lost his scholarship. I am not sure if he did or not, but there is a chance they still have kept him on. Maybe Graypony or someone that knows for sure could answer that question for us.

Also, I heard a rumor that Matt Terry may not have received a grayshirt after all. Is that true?

Nobody said he lost his scolarship. If he is unable to play because of a medical problem then he can remain on scholarship -- but not have it count against the 85!

I did not know that either. I thought that football has a certain number to give out and if they use them for football or for injured players who have hung it up it still counts. I am not second guessing you, but are you sure about that? If so, thanks for the clarification, learn something new everyday.

Where did Russ Davis go? Why did he leave? I thought he was in line to be the starting punted for the next four years.

Everything I have heard is that he couldn't get his act together this past season and I have heard that he quit the team. Not confirmed, but that is the word.

You mean discipline? Grades?
Is he off the team, or entirely out of school?
