Former SMU stars Kevin Aldridge and Josh McCown moved on to the NFL this week - Aldridge to Tennessee and McCown to Arizona.

They were in the same recruiting class at SMU.
They were high school teammates at Jacksonville, Texas.

Shouldn't Coach Bennett be at Jacksonville now, re-establishing ties to that school? If memory serves, I think McCown's dad is a coach (don't know if he's the head coach) at Jacksonville, and that might require a bit of a selling job by Coach Bennett. But he's charmed everyone he's met so far, and he can charm the JHS coaching staff, too. Jacksonvill has produced some even better players in recent years (A&M offensive lineman Jami Hightower, among others), and seems to be something of a talent factory.

We need to get our foot - or hoof - back in the door there.
