Garland High School once again has top quality athletes. Metroplex recruiting was able to catch up with Taurence Rawls, the elusive RB for the Garland Owls.

Taurence is 5'9", 185 lbs and runs a 4.31 forty. I had the chance to watch Mr. Rawls this Spring and he was very impressive. Taurence left their Spring game early with a sprained ankle but before leaving he showed just why he is one of the Metroplex's top recruits for next season. He displayed good vision, agility and explosiveness that was outstanding. Look for Taurence Rawls to put up big numbers next season for the Garland Owls. Taurence is currently being recruited by several Division one colleges. He has received scholarship offers from Louisville, Rice, SMU, Arkansas, and Arizona State. The most impressive stat about Taurence is his academic status. Taurence is fully qualified having passed the ACT and is currently carrying a G.P.A. of 3.2. He plans to attend several camps this summer including A&M, Texas, TCU and SMU.
