New state top 100 looking at SMU

Postby PonyFan » Sun Dec 01, 2002 3:42 pm

The Morning News lists Longview QB Joel Armstrong (6-0, 170) -- the #68 player on their state top 100 list -- as having SMU high on his list. They list Rice, SMU, TCU, LaTech and Air Force, in that order.

I can't find anything about him on the Internet. Does anyone know about him? With Meeks and Phillips already in the fold, are we looking at this kid for another position?

well, he looks like Rolando Humphrey. heh...would be a great pickup...could use him at IR, DB, or WR even.

We don't want TOO many super-small guys. I know some of them - Comet, Daniel Francis, Humphrey - can really play, but don't we need to target bigger guys?

I agree...but he at 6', he is taller than Humphrey. I really like Joe Sturdivant, 6'3" 190lbs.
