Awesome.

Is he pursuing a FT MBA at UNC or some other program? I don't see Jake as being projected to be an NFL player so I assumed he was looking at maximizing his one year of free tuition. Hogs would be fun and not too far away but taking a step back on ultimate career progression. Even if he wants an MBA later (optimal), SMU or UNC (or even UT!) would be much better launching pads.

Ponies need some good QB protection.

2 years of free tuition*. He still has 2 years left to play.

The Article didn't say he got into the UNC MBA program (Kenan). He got accepted to the sports management graduate program. So if this is about football, UNC and Arkansas make more sense. If this is about a degree then the Cox MBA is more valuable.

If working in a State Farm call center is a long term career goal, Arkansas MBA is a great program.

Look at the letter...how can he play for Arkansas this fall when orientation for their MBA program is not until January 9th-13th?

Per US News:
Arkansas MBA Starting Salary = $67,200 (same as our Cox undergrads)
SMU Cox MBA Starting Salary = $111,355

Pretty much tells you which degree is in demand...

Even our starting Center in the NFL makes more than their only C in the NFL:

Josh LeRibeus - Washington Redskins - making $920,000 in 2016
Image

Travis Swanson of Lions - Arkansas grad making $794,000 in 2016

I guess he may have been looking at which coach has gotten more offensive lineman to the NFL. And playing in the SEC vs playing in the AAC.

The city line development in Richardson which is the new home of 11,000 state Farm employees is pretty awesome.

As a follow up on Jake - he evidently lost his starting job at Arkansas half way through the season.

Am sure he will have a great position with Wal-Mart though now that he has an Arkansas MBA.

His dreams of working for State Farm are probably about as gone as his NFL career.

He was not overwhelming on the Arkansas OL but Alabama, LSU, Florida,Auburn, etc. tend to make many look that way.
