DE Toby Ndukwe is now No. 97 on Scout Texas Top 100

Alan Alai, Noah Jones and Charlie Brewer are on the Lone Star Recruiting (Texas Rivals) Texas Top 100. Add transfers Peevy and the LSU transfer who were 4 and 5 stars out of high school and SMU Recruiting is making tangible progress

Wait until Chad Morris has more than 2 wins to sell

With apologies to smusic00, this is worthy of posting.

Given Baylor's commitments to date, what is anyone's (Stallion, that includes you) best guess as to how many off these players we will retain.

That is the saddest part. Baylor has nothing and can take any or all of ours they want. They will have a recruiting advantage in the future but this late in the season they could conceivably take our whole class.

We'll see but I think Morris will take a bunch from all schools in the State. I truly believe SMU's poor records, small, disinterested "fan base" and G5 status were the biggest issues holding this staff back. This could be a wild December through signing date period because all Texas teams seem to potentially be in flux. TCU could be a beneficiary too because the program is relatively stable although having a disappointing year

Do we keep the Brewer pair?

The hope (probably just me being naive) is that Chad will leave with some dignity and not want to steal our whole class. He can take the Brewers for all I care but man don't take the whole class.

Kind of fun to go back and read the doom and gloom.
HCCM stays - We keep all the class and pick up a few more.
SMU wins 7, 8 games next year and we go bowling.

chad sure didn't bring any of his Clemson recruits with him but I'll bet he'll have no problem 'rapin' n pillaging' our recruiting class.

Gee, I wonder if there is anything different about moving from SMU to Baylor than from Clemson to SMU.

you're right- going from SMU to rape-U is like going from a Mercedes to a yugo filled with manure.

The only difference is the chance to start on day one in a P5 conference in front of more than 15k fans. Other than that SMU is the better choice.

I doubt if many of the recruits he would take would start on day 1. rape-U still has a few players on the team that have some experience and talent.

They are going to be down to 50 scholarship players and have 1 commit.
